Therapy with respect, curiosity, and care I'm Amber Holt (she/her), a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.
Before opening my private practice in Gig Harbor in 2013, I worked in community mental health settings where I gained a strong foundation in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (an eye movement therapy for trauma). I bring a harm reduction lens to my work with substance use.
Inclusive, affirming, and neurodiversity-friendly You’re welcome here, as you are. I work with clients from a wide range of racial, cultural, spiritual, gender, and sexual identities, and I’m deeply committed to providing affirming care for those whose identities and experiences may have been misunderstood or harmed in other spaces. I also enjoy working with people who are exploring neurodivergence, including those who have been late-diagnosed with autism after years of masking, misdiagnosis, or burnout. Together, we can untangle what’s been pathologized and reconnect you with your own insight and strength.
My approach I see therapy as a collaborative process. I’ll bring my training and perspective, and you’ll bring your lived experience, values, and goals. There’s no “one size fits all” approach here—our work together will be guided by what matters most to you. You don’t have to be in crisis to seek support. Whether you're feeling stuck, seeking clarity, or wanting to create a life that feels more aligned, I’m here to walk alongside you.
